Papercrane

Papercrane

What do all your Xero organizations add up to?

Xero reports one organization at a time, and consolidated reporting is not on its roadmap. Papercrane connects every org you run, joins Stripe, PayPal, and your store, then builds one live dashboard for the group.

The month end you already know

The stitch

Export the profit and loss from each organization, paste into the group spreadsheet, repair the formulas. Next month you do it again, and the group total is always a day of work old.

The per entity meter

Group reporting lives in add ons that charge by the entity, so the bill grows every time the group does. And the shelf keeps getting bought: your last reporting tool may answer to an accounting vendor now.

The login wall

Your co owner, your board, your clients: the people waiting on the numbers do not have Xero logins. So the numbers travel as PDF exports, stale on arrival.

The group view Xero says is not planned

Consolidation across organizations is one of the most voted requests on Xero's own ideas forum, and Xero's answer in July 2025 was that work on it is not currently planned. Connect your organizations to Papercrane and ask for the group view anyway.

Ask across the group

What did each organization make last month, and what does the group add up to?

How many weeks of cash does each entity have at its current burn?

Who owes us the most across every org, and how long overdue?

What did we keep after Stripe and PayPal fees, matched back to the invoices in Xero?

Which suppliers are we paying from more than one entity?

Show each org's gross margin by month against last year, side by side.

Every answer comes back as a chart on a live dashboard. Questions about one organization work just as well.

1. Connect each organization

2. Ask a question

3. The agent plans, queries, and builds a hosted dashboard

4. It stays live, and errors route back to the agent

Read access you approve on Xero's consent screen, organization by organization. Disconnect from either side at any time.

No Xero login required to watch

Publish the group dashboard to a link, embed it in a portal, or put it on your own domain. Run a practice? Give every client a live management dashboard instead of a monthly PDF, each client seeing only their own.

The group month end

A hospitality group runs three venues and a property company, each its own Xero organization. The group pack that took a day and a half every month is now a dashboard the directors open themselves.

The practice pack

An accountant publishes a live dashboard per client and sends links instead of monthly PDFs. Each client sees only their own numbers.

The invoice chase

One aged receivables view across every entity, ranked by who owes the group the most and how long overdue. The chase starts from a list, not from four exports.

When you don't need us

If you run one organization, the analytics now built into Xero's higher plans are genuinely good, and they are already in your subscription: keep your money. If you need statutory consolidation with intercompany eliminations and audit ready workpapers, a purpose built consolidation tool like Joiin is the right instrument, and your accountant will agree. Papercrane is worth paying for when the question spans organizations or tools, or when the answer needs to live where people outside Xero can watch it.

Questions Xero users ask us

The books say what you earned. If money reaches you through a card processor or a store, connect it too: Stripe or PayPal for fees and payouts, Shopify if you sell online.

Connect your organizations, ask what the group adds up to, and watch the answer come back as a dashboard.
