Klaviyo counts an order when someone opened or clicked within its window, five days by default. Meta and Google count the same order by their own rules, so the claims add up to more than your store deposited.
Three platforms each report $84. The store deposited $84 once.
The five day window.
An open holds a claim for five days by default, and Apple privacy opens count as opens. A promo opened Tuesday can claim Thursday's order.
Everyone keeps their own ledger.
Klaviyo, Meta, and Google each attribute by last touch on their own channel. One order can appear in all three reports at full value.
So nothing ever matches.
Attributed revenue and store revenue measure different things. Most teams stop checking, and the Monday meeting runs on a number nobody quite trusts.
Two numbers you already know by heart, or can pull in seconds. See where Klaviyo's claim on your revenue lands against published agency guidance.
Enter both numbers to see where your ratio lands.
The 25 to 40% band and the over 50% warning come from published agency guidance: Subjectlime's attribution guide.
That ratio is a smell test, not an answer. The answer is order by order.
Some questions have a ledger answer and some have an attribution answer. Papercrane treats them differently on purpose.
Campaign vs flow revenue by month, with engagement per send
Revenue per recipient by segment, last quarter
Which flows slowed down after the template change?
What Klaviyo, Meta, and Google each claimed last month, next to actual store revenue
Which orders did more than one platform claim? Match them by order ID
Attributed revenue split between first time and repeat buyers
Ledger questions come back as live dashboards. Attribution questions come back as an investigation that shows its work.
1. Sum the claims.
Klaviyo, Meta, Google, and your store's own report, same 30 days, one table.
2. Find the overlap.
Orders claimed by more than one platform, matched by order ID.
Matching relies on the order IDs Klaviyo records from your store integration. Where the join is uncertain, the investigation says so instead of forcing a match.
3. Read the settings.
Your attribution windows and open tracking, and how much they add to the total.
You end with a number you can defend on Monday, and the working behind it.
The overlap check, finished
| Order | Store total | Claimed by | Each claimed |
|---|---|---|---|
| #1042 | $86 | Klaviyo and Meta | $86, full value |
| #1063 | $131 | Klaviyo, Meta, and Google | $131, full value |
| #1077 | $54 | Klaviyo only | $54 |
Three orders from a sample month. Two were counted more than once.
If you want modeled multi touch attribution across every ad dollar, that is Triple Whale or Northbeam territory. Papercrane does not model, it computes from recorded orders and shows you why your tools disagree.
Read only access to the reporting data Klaviyo already keeps. We never send, edit a flow, or touch a list.
Campaign and flow performance, per send and over time
Segment membership and growth, so revenue per recipient is by audience
The attributed revenue numbers themselves, pullable and comparable
Open, click, and SMS engagement history
When Klaviyo alone is enough
If email is your main channel and Klaviyo's built in dashboards answer your questions, stay there: its campaign and flow reporting is genuinely good, and its benchmarks are better than anything we would rebuild. Papercrane earns its keep when the question crosses systems: what email made you after refunds and fees, or who else claimed the same order.
People connect Klaviyo with Shopify, Stripe, and their ad accounts to answer what email actually made them.
