Papercrane
Papercrane connects to the student records, course and section data, and enrollment activity your Ethos integration already exposes, and builds a hosted dashboard that refreshes itself instead of a deck you rebuild every term.

Twice a year, on the institution's census date, someone exports headcount, credit hours, and section counts and rebuilds the same enrollment snapshot for the provost, the board, or an IPEDS deadline. If that person is out sick or new to the job, the number gets rebuilt from memory of last term's formulas.
Connecting Ethos gives Papercrane read access to the data types you choose, student records, course and section data, enrollment and registration activity, through a key you create and can revoke from your own Ethos settings at any time. Nothing is written back to Banner or Colleague, and your institution's data sharing agreements and FERPA obligations stay exactly where they already sit: between your institution and whoever it contracts with, us included, not on a badge on this page. Papercrane queries Ethos on the schedule your dashboard uses and doesn't keep a separate copy of your institution's records beyond what a live dashboard needs to stay current; revoking the key stops every read immediately, on both sides.
If the job is accreditation self study and assessment evidence, Watermark already owns that workflow end to end. If the job is a predictive model that flags which students are likely to leave before they do, that's Civitas Learning's, built on institution specific machine learning we don't do. Papercrane is worth connecting when the job is turning the Ethos data you already have into a dashboard your cabinet, your board, or your accreditor can open without you rebuilding it by hand.
Every downstream enrollment number inherits from whoever pulled the export on the correct day. Point a dashboard at your Ethos enrollment data, set it to refresh on your institution's own calendar, and the count is captured the moment census date happens instead of whenever someone remembers to run the report.

Most institutions connecting Ethos are already collecting supplemental data somewhere else. Two common pairings:
Connect Ethos and point a dashboard at your next census date instead of your calendar reminder to rebuild it.
